Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta was born March 28, 1986, better known by her stage name Lady Gaga, is an American singer and songwriter. She first worked in theater, appearing in games of high school, and studied through CAP21 Tisch School of the University of New York Arts before dropping out to pursue a musical career. After leaving a rock band, participating in the circuit forefront of the performance art of the Lower East Side, and a drop of a contract with Def Jam Recordings, Gaga worked as a songwriter for Sony / ATV Music Publishing.
