I heard through the grapevine is a black comedy that satirizes pretentious materialistic ideas and the upper upper class in Korea that was delivered to the imperialist power and thrive on inherited wealth and lineage.

Han Jeong-ho and Choi Yeon-hee are a wealthy couple from a prestigious family. His reputation suddenly turned upside down because his teenage son, Han In-sang, impregnates his girlfriend from a normal family, Seo Bom. Bom is determined to stand being isolated from his own family and the humiliation of her in-laws for the sake of the future of his son, while In-sang struggles between her love for Bom and high expectations of his family.
